Reality of Life

Hi dear readers. Assalamualaikum~

Life is fragile, Life is short.
Do not take Life for granted.
Live a balance lifestyle and enjoy Life!

What is this thing called life? What is the real nature of it? Why can some people walk through life with joy while others suffer?

Let me explain through it. This is very important, basic concept.

You in the movie of life

Have you watched a good movie in which you were so immersed that you felt like you were actually living that story? Or have you read a book that put you in the same kind of state of mind?
You identified with one of the characters, perhaps the leading character. His or her feelings felt like your own. When the situation changed, you felt their surprise and confusion. When they had to make a difficult decision, you struggled, too, as if it’ll affect your own life.
Only when the movie was over and the titles started to run with the music, you came back to yourself, sighing, “Oh, wow, what a story. . .!”

This life is like that. Your Higher Self chose a certain setting and jumped in to experience the story. Like you watch a movie.

You as the actor and audience of life

Actually the analogy works even better with live theater play than a movie. Your Higher Self chose a role and jumped in to be part of the play. At the same time, your Higher Self is the audience of the play. This is what I mean when I say our Higher Selves split part of themselves to incarnate in the physical bodies.
Most of us are so immersed in this life theater production. It feels all so real. Only when we die, we come to realize it was a play, or a movie. Some people call this condition “we have the veil” on us that hinder us to see the true nature of reality.

Is sad movie a bad movie?

Do you like sad movies or stories? I guess many of us do. Sad movies are not necessarily bad movies. Sad movies can be beautiful and we may learn a lot from them. It’s okay to watch sad movies.
Do you like action movies? I’m personally not a big fan, but I guess many of you like them. In those movies, bad guys play critical roles, right? You hate them, but then, the movie’s plot is impossible without them. That’s what those people who have hurt you in your life have done. They played their roles.
By the way, my favorite movies are romantic comedies — not the slapstick “I’ll make you laugh by all means” kind of movies but the ones that look at life with lighthearted humor. Like Lost In Translation, Love Actually, and The Birdcage. A bit of mind-bending, like Eternal Sunshine or Closer, is good, too.
What are your favorite movies? Now is that how you live or wish to live?

You as the director of life

The amazing point is you are not just the actor and the audience of this play. Your third function is to direct it. Well, I mean, you can direct it if you so wish. This is what I mean you have the power to create your life and the world.
While you are so immersed in the life play, it’s easy to forget you are also a director. But you chose your character, and this play is made spontaneously as we go. If you don’t like the story-line, then change it. Make the adversity to a rags-to-riches story or glory by overcoming the challenge story.
Being the director of your own life play doesn’t mean everything will go the way you want. Your awareness as the actor is different from your awareness as the director. (Do you think those actors really enjoy playing the scene where they get tortured or getting dumped for stupid reasons?) The life theater is dynamic and fun But it does give us a clue how we can live better.

The fun is in the process

Now let’s say there is a new movie you are interested in. Would you just read the synopsis, see the last scene, and be done with it? No, you want to spend two hours in the theater watching the movie, right?
Knowing all the outcomes of the story ahead of time spoils the fun. The fun is in the process. We took the trouble of being born in this physical world to experience all these ups and downs, excitements and serenity, interesting twists, etc.
I wrote about victim mentality and slave mentality in the Power part of the Creating The New World series. In it, I explained the telltale sign of these disempowered mindsets is the word SHOULD.
I’m not prohibiting the use of should. The point is we accept the uncertainty of life, to be empowered to the point that it’s really fine to go with the flow with all the unknown. This is what I mean the fun is in the process.

The secret of life

Life is a story or movie. Or a virtual reality game.
Does this mean we don’t need to take life seriously? Absolutely not. We took the trouble of incarnation. (And oh, what a trouble it was!) We want to enjoy this fully. So live well.
At the same time, your life will be a lot easier when you notice we are only identifying with the character of this life movie, or identifying as the actor’s role. We can still enjoy the sensations of this movie, but don’t be buried in them. You are actually someone outside the movie, and you can even direct the movie the way you want it.

When you realize this true nature of life, you also notice that there is no reason to stay resentful to those who have harmed you. It’s fine to get upset at them when they harm you — that is the intention, the plot. But you don’t need to remain resentful or run to the spiritual cop to out their wrong doings. They just played their role to contribute to your life story.

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become characters.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Sincerely,

OMG I hate carrot!

Hi there. Assalamualaikum~

Oh, here we are again. In the same site, the same person typing the entries, but with different mood. I'm in the mood of eating, actually. But annoyed with some horrible orange carrots in my food. Urgh! How much I hate carrots, for no reason at all. Weirdo. But I do eat the white carrot, yuck for the orange carrot. I dislike the color, and the taste.

I know this orange carrots do have many advantages but I'd prefer the white carrots for it taste and color.

They said that the orange carrots do have one thing that the white carrots doesn't have, beta carotene that is good for the skin and our eyes. No wonder my eyes can't look clearly, I am the person who can't see from afar. Pity me.

These carrots has some variety in colors. There are white, orange, yellow, purple, maroon and black. Maybe there are several colors that I didn't know. The black one? You can try ask uncle Google. I've found it just now.

There are also several events that celebrate these carrots, which I, myself doesn't get it why they celebrate it. You can see it HERE.

Okay folks, thats all that I want to share today.

Till the next entry. Have a nice day, readers!

part of growing up.

Hello again. Assalamualaikum~

As we grow up, we learn that even one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder everytime.

You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.

You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.

So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

I thought only us (human being) that have fever. My cats were slightly weak and no appetite these few days. I was so worried that they having some kind of weird disease that makes them frail.

My sister think of getting some injections and treatment for them at the nearest veterinary. I hope our cat will be healthy soon. If only I knew what to do other than giving them a glucose drink, it would be nice.

Happiness?

Hello. Assalamualaikum~

Do you know what it would take for you to be happy? I mean the really, truly, no matter what is going on in your life, kind of happiness that seeps in through your cells and leaves you content, satisfied, grateful, inspired and excited all at the same time. Do you have that kind of happiness? Do you know how to get it?

There is a state of Happiness that people can acquire that had nothing to do with their mood. Let’s face it, everyone has an off day once in awhile. As I am writing this, I have just recovered from a very off-moment of coffee making where I forgot to put the carafe under the spout. I re-entered the room to see coffee grounds and hot brown liquid pouring over my counter tops, cabinets and all over my floors.

I don’t know about you but incidents like that don’t start my day off in the “Happy” mood. In fact, you can feel lucky you missed the high-pitched squeal and and assorted words that followed my discovery.
For some, a morning discovery like that would have been enough to ruin their entire day. In fact, they likely would have proclaimed it to be a day wrecker. Deeming the rest of the day to be shot before it began.

However, when we remember that happiness is a choice, that we can actively pursue the thought of, “I am Happy, Content and Grateful for my life,” even when annoyances and other people seem to be getting in the way, then the thought will change the circumstances of our moments.

How many times have you said, “My day was RUINED…” by some annoyance or travesty. How about a reset thought to “That was an interesting moment…I’m very grateful that the rest of my day won’t be like that…”

By changing our thoughts- we change our actions. By changing our actions, we change our relationships, opportunities and our future.

Choose happy, grateful thoughts and watch the happiness follow.

Sincerely,
cikmuda []

what is adat perpatih?

Hi dear readers. I'm back!!!

ehem... Assalamualaikum~

Last night, I had a chance to watch the unique ritual of adat perpatih which I'm not very familiar with at TV9; berkedim.

Berkedim or in dialect Negeri Sembilan called 'kodim' is a apacara in which a bride or a person is accepted to be a member of a tribe in the community of Adat Perpatih. *Please do correct me if I'm wrong*

A person can become a member of a quarter for two reasons:

Outsiders who are not from the community of Adat Perpatih but want to be a member of a tribe on the grounds of marriage.
Someone from community of Adat Perpatih want to change the tribe to another tribe for reasons to be married to someone in the tribe or for the benefit of estate.

Berkedim has three standards which are:

Kedim customs and inheritance (to allow the estate inherited or purchased property in the quarter participated)
Kedim customs of the board (for the purpose of relationship)
Kedim Pull (usually for an adopted child who brought by her foster mother joined quarter).

Kedim status will be determined by the heads of customs cooperation in the quarter.

Berkedim ceremony began with Buapak and Dato' Lembaga declared the children of Perut and the present quarter. This was followed by dipping a finger in the blood and rice paste. Dipping a finger in the blood is all involved in the ceremony that inserting a finger into the pot with blood. The blood used was blood of goats, cattle or buffalo slaughtered before the ceremony begins. When process of dipping a finger in the blood, those involved will swear loyal and related to the tribe participated. The ceremony ended with prayers.

But from what I watched last night, they use a food coloring for dipping a finger in the blood. Maybe they change it or something, that is something that I don't really know about.

social media?

Hello, dear readers.

Ehem.. Assalamualaikum

When being asked, 'Do you have Facebook?', many of you will answer 'YES', instead of answering 'NO' because it was the most popular social networks in this entire world. Most of people in this world using Facebook as a medium of communication to all people around the world.

'How about you? Do you have Facebook or other social networks?'

Facebook? I don't have one. Either Twitter or Formspring or Myspace or other social networks that existed in this world, I really don't have one except Blogger. And to be honest, I have one once upon a time. For me, it is more than enough having this blog because I don't have so much time to spend looking at other social media other than this blog. Why do I delete all of these social networks? Because I'm tired, I want to focus this on my studies and then other important things.

'What do you feel when you don't have any other social media than your blog?'

My feelings? *erk apa kaitan?* Actually I'm a bit jealous of those people that having social media other than blog. I'm thinking of having one but I'm afraid I'll lose my attention to my studies and other important things than these social media. (ee poyo lah budak ni)

So, what do you think? Should I create account on any social networks?

Hmm I don't think so.

Eggs, anyone?

Assalamualaikum~

Oh hi! Hello guys. We meet again.

I love reading as much as I love writing and texting and playing games and watching movies and chit-chatting (berapa banyak and lah?). Ok, while I was reading this evening, I found some interesting facts about eggs. Though I don't like eating egg yolk, but I'd like to share some of the benefits to all of you. *eh2, blog aku dah jadi blog kesihatan lah pula*

5 important benefits of eggs:

Excellent quality of protein - one egg is equivalent to ⅓ - ½ of a serving of protein.

Low in calories - one egg has 70-80 kcal; that less than 4% of the recommended daily calorie intake.

Low in fat - several studies have shown that having eggs for breakfast can help overweight adults lose weight as they are less likely to snack before the next main meal.

Cholesterol - scientists say there is no difference in between those who eat an egg a week and those who eat more than one egg a day. Generally, an egg a day is safe - and there's no cholesterol in egg white.

Rich in choline - the lecithin in the yolk of a large egg provides 251 mg (more than half of a woman's daily requirement) of choline, which is essential for brain development of unborn babies.

P/s : Saya tetap tak suka makan kuning telur, anda bagaimana?

tea, one of my favorite.

Hi, assalamualaikum

Tea, one of my favorite beverage is said to be the second most-consumed beverage in the world, after water, with literally thousands of varieties in existance. Nowadays we seem to be finding more reasons to drink tea every day, whether it be black, white, green, herbal, Chinese or any other type. The anti-oxidising and cleansing abilities of the tea leaf make for a healthy choice, so say the scientists, but what else is tea good for?

Here are 10 facts that you might not have previously known about tea.

1. The origins of tea:
Legend has it that tea originated well over 5000 years ago in ancient China. The innovative and science-curious emporer Shen Nung insisted that for hygeine purposes, all water in the palace must be boiled. When he was out visiting his kingdom one day, him and his men stopped to boil water to drink and it was said that leaves from a nearby bush fell into the water. Apparently the brew that resulted was so refreshing, the emporer ordered samples of the bush to be brought back to the palace for analysis. Afterwards, word got out and this new phenomenon became fashionable.

2. From the Camellia bush:
Tea comes from the leaves of a tree called Camellia sinensis. The three main types of tea are Black, Oolong and Green. Herbal tea does not come from the leaves of a tea plant, therefore, is not considered to be real tea. Roots, stems, flowers and parts of plants are used to make herbal tea.

3. Antioxidant and Anti-Cancer:
In recent Australian studies CSIRO scientists found that the occurrence of skin cancer in laboratory mice was greatly reduced when they were given black tea. It is thought that polyphenols which are very strong antioxidants and are contained in the tea are the most likely reason for this phenomenon.

Scientists have reported for many years that men in Asian countries who drink green tea have very low instances of prostate cancer. Many prominent researchers believe that this is due to green tea containing many powerful antioxidants and preventative anti-cancer agents.

4. Vitamins and minerals:
When combined with milk, tea can offer an array of vitamins and minerals including calcium, vitamin B6, Riboflavin B2, Thiamin B1, manganese for bone growth and repair, and potassium, important for neuron and brain function.

5. Puffy eyes and sunburn:
To cure puffy eyes lie in a horizontal position and place either a moist teabag or tea compress over both eyes and leave for about 20 minutes. The swelling around the eyes will to your amazement disappear and your eyes will return to their former glory.

6. Tea reduces risk of heart attacks:
Studies in the Netherlands have shown that men who drink black tea which contains catechins are 50 percent less likely to die of ischemic heart disease. This takes place when our arteries become clogged and are unable to work properly because of constriction.

7. Odour absorbant:
Tea will absorb odors around it. Here is a tip for removing food odors from your hands. Pour some tea over your hands and the tea will remove all odors from your fingers, and leave them smelling great. It even works great with fish odors!

8. Warts and all:
Black tea bags can be used to treat planter warts. Tannin in tea is acidic and can be just as effective in removing warts as various over the counter wart removers! Leave a cooled bag on the wart for about 15 minutes three times daily and slowly the wart will shrink and disappear.

9. Improve Fertility:
Recent studies have shown that drinking between one and two cups of tea per day may promote fertility by stopping abnormalities in our chromosomes. In a recent test 250 women drank as little as half a cup of tea per day and their pregnancy rates were twice as high as those who did not.

10. Oral Health:
A report issued by the UK Tea Council in 2006 stated that the fluoride content of tea makes it a potent defender of oral health. Fluoride binds to the tooth enamel, slowing down the tooth decay process and preventing cavities. Also, the instance of tannins in tea inhibits the growth of certain plaque-forming bacteria.

Interesting, huh?

we should be grateful PART 2 :)

Hi assalamualaikum peeps~! emoticon

[]

Continuation from part 1.

“We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.” ~Cynthia Ozick

How often do you pause to appreciate what you have in life?

When I was young, I sort of took things for granted. I believe many other kids did so, too. After all, we were young and we didn’t know what life could be like on the other side.

One thing we took for granted was education. In my country, it’s compulsory for all kids to go to school, so it was a given. We never thought about how lucky we were to be educated.

Another thing we took for granted was our teachers. We never thought about how lucky we were to have teachers who cared for our growth so much, and poured their heart and soul in their lessons.

Then slowly as I grew up, I began to appreciate things around me more. As I saw more and more of the world out there, I realized all the things I’d been given are not rights, but privileges.

I realized that being literate is a not a right, but a gift. I realized there is a lot of war and violence in the world, and I’m lucky to live in a country where it’s safe and peaceful. I realized there are people out there who don’t have their five senses, and to have mine is a gift.

I realized the world is so beautiful, and we’re lucky to live in such an amazing world.

Sometimes it’s easy to feel bad because you’re going through a tough time in life. However, remember no matter how bad your situation may seem, there are tens of thousands of things to be grateful for in life.

Below is a simple list of 60 things that I’m grateful for in my life. Most of the items, if not all, will apply to you too. I’m sure as you read this list, you’ll think of many more things to be grateful for. Feel free to add on in the comments box below. I would love to read them.

do you really understand?

Hi assalamualaikum, dear readers.

How are you today? It's been a long time since I wrote my own post. Been so busy a few days back, so now that I back to track. Miss me? No? It's okay.

My friend once said to me that if I'm writing in English, there is no Malaysians will ever stop in my blog and read it all. They would rather read blogs that are written in Malay only, or blogs that written in bahasa rojak. Is it true, dear readers? Are you going to boycott those who write in English? Does Malaysians really have a narrow-minded?

She said that I should really have to stop writing in English, or else I wouldn't have any followers nor readers at all. Oh well, I really don't need a follower that is not sincere to read my posts.

There were people who wants to learn English but there's none of them who try to speak in English nor write in English. Pathetic, isn't it?

Oh wait, does all of you who read my blog really understand what I meant?

Sincerely,

Together, forever.

“We all thought we would be together forever but somewhere between all the arguments and the laughter, we realised that maybe it isn’t meant to last forever; that we are meant to move on to become the people we all know we can be, to follow the dreams we have set ourselves. It is time that we all remember what we have been through to get to this place, the people we have known, helped and had help ourselves. These are the memories that last a lifetime. So, maybe we won’t be in each others presence forever, but we will be in each others hearts forever and more.”

P/S - are you happy?

why worry?

There are two things to worry about;
Either you are well or you are sick.

If you are well then there is nothing to worry about.

But if you are sick, there are two things to worry about;
Either you will get well or you will die.

If you get well there is nothing to worry about.

If you die, there are only two things to worry about;
Either you will go to heaven or hell.

If you go to heaven there is nothing to worry about,

But if you go to hell you'll be so busy shaking hands with friends,
You won't have time to worry.
